Chosen Ideas

The chosen ideas, although i did like most of them, i found i couldnt work on the 2d one, as it doesnt cover my specialism.
Im not that into live action and special effects either.
The two i would have gone for was "The Deep" and "Un-Hatched" however i found these were quite popular and lots of people wanted to work on these films.

The lecturers gave us another option which allowed us to work on a 30 second piece with a few of us in the group.
I spoke to David, and we both decided to go forward with his idea. By that time we were however in a group of six, and was told ten to maybe split into two group but work as a five on both films.

Therefore, Hayley, David and I were one group and Dean, Sam and I were another. I was made producer and drifted between the two so that i could manage both teams and get everything done.

We then needed to come up with another idea for the second film.
We thought about using Hayley's idea of the Manaquin in a shop window wanting to burst out, but Sam wanted to make it in 2D and we were unsure of how the story should go. The piece would also be a mood piece, whereas Dean and i wanted to go more for comedy.

Thats when i thought of a Sketch from a Comedian about cueing in a line, People pushing in and things.
My idea was about waiting to go to the toilet in line and making a comedy piece about the things that could happen to you.

Danliked the idea, but gave us the idea of adapting it to promote/Advertise a product, giving it a bit more meaning to it.

We then decided to promote a new Toilet, Air freshener and water.
I started with some character designs, as we wanted to keep the character simple and just give them legs, allowing most of the facial animation to show the mood.

We made a few ideas of what could happen to the little dude on the end, either getting farted on, stepping on wee, a janitor coming along and putting an out of order sign on the door.
The he could either go pee in a bush or in the ladies or wet himself too.
