Unsure of what a marmot is? I gather its a cross between and Beaver and a Squirrel, found in mongolia and asia.
Our marmot will be a cheeky sod, He will have the guts to go and nick the mongols last piece of food, which is his chicken leg.
As its the only food, the Mongol will chase after him to try and get it back.
After various chase scenes through huts and desert, the man will then be snapped up by a Giant eagle and taken away as food, leaving the little marmot to then nibble on his hard earned winnings.
I think this will be an great film to start work on, and there are many possibilities with it.
